When I was a child I was given a "hope chest". The first item to be put in my chest was a crocheted cover of pink roses on a white background made by my great aunt. that was followed by a quilt made by my grandmother, then a quilt made by my mother. I have never put the items in a linen closet. The chest is at the foot of the four poster bed I slept in as a child.

Each bed has a fur throw on the end of it. Then, in one bedroom I have a large painted floor basket - it holds 5 fur throws. My hall coat closet is where I keep the plush throws for lounging around the living room. I was a bit of a throw addict there for awhile - probably went a tad overboard, if either of my kids need another throw they know exactly where to get one, or two or ...,.. So, yes - you can definitely have too many throws ......![]()

I have one over the back of each sofa in the living room and the two bedrooms have quilts folded at the foot of the bed.
Our coffee table is a cedar chest and the rest of them go in there.
