Bright Brass Is making a comeback.  Gold and Brass are in and the silver metals are moving on out. If you keep your stuff long enough, it’ll come back in fashion.

i have a lot of Brass too and I like it.

A DOG LIVES HERE....

I try, but no matter how much I try, the toys put away in the bucket, suddenly become strewn on the living room floor; dog beds abound, with pillows and bankies; and, the hair - well I try to tell myself that they're little gifts of love.  Oh, lest I forget, the balls - I'm always kicking or tripping over balls!  And, although there are two extra large doggie beds in the bedroom I share with my precious boy, he always manages to rearrange the beds to wherever he wants them (little at a time so his Mama won't notice, and pull the white 'satin' DB bedspread down enough so he can snuggle on that too!

YUP, I GUESS YOU COULD SAY, A DOG RULES HERE!

Eddy and I share our home:   it may not be perfect, nor always (seldom) neat and tidy, but it's a home we're happy in - filled with love.Woman Happy

@AuntG

I do understand!

When we bought this house in 1994, we had big plans. We could afford all new paint, paper and most carpeting, along with a few plumbing repairs before moving in. Big plans were to redo the kitchen and the bathrooms in the next few years.

Well, I had ideas of what I wanted then. Oak cabinets, (and I still do brass, especially Baldwin and my front door had beautiful brass kick plate, knocker, and handle and door knocker, and I still love it!), replacing the horrible baseboards with big thick oak (I have a lot of antique oak furniture) etc.

Well, as life will have it, we had an unexpected child, some big bills with a new roof, new septic system, replacing an entire house of rotted windows and inefficient doors, 10 years of private school etc. and those renovations never came!

Now I'm kind of glad we didn't get those things done, because I would indeed no longer be glad I'd chosen the oak cabinets and trim. I've come to like some other choices in the last few years, so if I ever get to do it, I will at least have a fresher perspective.

Still, if I woke up tomorrow with the oak magically repacing my current mess, I'd be excited....for now! LOL

We are in a apartment so I would say small. But when we get our new house I hope I can say it's grand.

My house says “a bachelorette lives here....in this house that’s owned by cats.” It’s a perfect home!
