Re: What the best source for scented candles?

I love Pure Integrity Candles, they are rather pricey, but I love how they burn, very clean with little to no soot! Their fragrances are really nice too! I did order after winning a gift card from Yankee Candle, some of their candles and they have really improved as well, Their scents were very nice and not as much soot.......Chesapeake Bay Candles have a really good reputation, any other scents that you like from them?@

I use Circle E, their Jar Candles.

Fredricksburg, Texas.

The Wasail and the Country Morning.

Also, like one of their vanilla ones,

just do not know which one in particular that is off hand.

Re: What the best source for scented candles?

Its hard to say....each brand has its own "demons".....

One brand I did like was Cheerful Giver (in the Papa  Jar)....they only have a few left here on the QVC

website..Woman Sad..This is where I miss Jill Bauer, she did bring in some good brands to QVC's home category...

I like Bath & Body Works fragrances, but tired of drowning wicks and uneven burning I sometimes experience...even though I follow instructions.....they guarantee their candels but who wants to keep going back to the store... for exchanges/refunds...Woman Frustrated

Slatkins---some of his scents are hit or miss....and I have lately experienced drowning wicks too with his brand!!!

Woodwick---I like this brand the scents are great and they last....I purchase them at Hallmark....sometimes I think those at Bed, Bath & Beyond are seconds or something they are not as good.....

Yankee Candle---most Ive purchased havent had a lasting scent.....and they did away with my favorite, Storm Watch.....

Walmart--Better Homes & Garden---dont bother!

A candle brand very expensive called Voluspa that has some nice scents...

Re: What the best source for scented candles?

Am glad to see some ideas here. Have been curious about the Cheerful Giver ones. Yesterday I had to throw away about 1/3 of a lemon scent from Slatkins Homeworx because it drowned out and started to smell really bad. The hobnail jar is beautiful, but his candles have been a disaster. Lately, I started buying a lot of BBW ones and have a huge supply of fall and winter ones. And now I have experienced candles that do not burn down to less than half. What a waste of money. I will be hauling in a bunch to the stores when I can get out again. So I am going to give the Cheerful Giver ones a try for the fall/winter season.(never thought I would say this, but I do kind of miss Jill. She had some great products on her shows.)

Candles like the first one will last longer with a candle lamp.  It just melts the wax, and when the fragrance is minimal, you pour it out and melt the next layer.

Three wickers are great with a candle lamp as they're mostly designed for that size.  Small jars work, too.  Wicks aren't a concern, and there's no burning involved.

Re: What the best source for scented candles?

@house_cat  I only buy candles that are scented with essential oils.  They offer all types of candles including soy if you prefer.  Aroma Naturals based in California.  There are two scents that are my favorite.

Thank you for the recommendation. Which two scents are your favorite?
