I was able to pick up 3 C batteries at the Dollar store yesterday. 3 for $1- I am thinking they won't last long but I only need them to work for 7 months so hopefully they are at least that good. If they aren't - heck it was only $1.

HH, if you find they last for 7 mos please tell us the name brand Smiley Wink I haven't even had Duracells last more than 3 mos!! I think I get about 2 mos when I use in Luminara as that flickering flame uses a lot more battery.

I finally bought rechargeable batteries. They supposedly will last 1000 charges. If I recharge 6x per year that's at least 166 years so if they perform as described I'll be thrilled!!! I've been using about a year now and so far so good.

I generally buy the batteries for my candles at Publix and they last about a year - so I am hoping these will make it through the 7 months we will be here. All mine have timers so they are only on a few hours a day - you must keep yours on longer.

Nope, all on timers. Fresh batteries in Luminara last about 2 months I think on a 5hr timer function.

I wish too that these timers all had an 8-10 hour option. In the northeast 5 hours just isn't enough for winter evenings. I would gladly change batteries more often if my candles would stay lit from 4:30pm to 2:30am. I don't really need them on that long now but if you have anyone in your house who gets home later it's nice for them to have the ambiance.

Re: What is the most important feature (to you) in a flameless candle?

for me,

timer and battery life are the most important.

I've found the Candle Impressions and Costco brands have the best of both.

I also tried Dollar Store batteries last year. Their life is about 1/3 of a premium battery. It's not really a savings when you have to replace those batteries three times for every one time on a premium. I highly doubt they will last 7 months. I only use timers, so it wasn't a matter of burning the candle a long time.

Maybe three bright flames on one candle. The brightness of light is the most important to me. The more light, the better. I can switch off whenever I want to, so timers aren't important.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Timer. I won't purchase a flame less candle unless it has a timer.

I just want them to work. Oh, and no wax.

yes, I love candle impressions, they are the best all around. The luminara, too expensive, not good battery life and some look fake.

I only purchase CANDLE IMPRESSIONS ... all others did not meet my expectations. Love the vanilla scented ones!

I agree! I love Candle Impressions and have them all over the house.

The important things to me are:

Realistic look (dislike the bulb ones). Like the ""wick"" on CI.

The look/design of the candle.

A timer.
