What Have You Cluttered Today?

Since lighting is so terrible everywhere except at my desk area in my office, I needed a good reading lamp over by the futon area. Which also meant getting an appropriate sized table for the lamp. It really adds warmth to the entire office and accomplishes its purpose.

I don't really clutter with seasonal decorations, though. So I'm off the hook there.

Clutter!!!  You should see my living room & dining rooms!

I'm currently having my powder room renovated and a new kitchen floor.  The kitchen table is back in its place but the chairs are still in the dining room and there is so much stuff in both rooms it's a huge cluttered mess!

They should be finished today (fingers crossed!) and I can't wait to straightened up everything and clean all of the dust this project has generated.

Clutter Confined:

When we redid the shore place, our dining room back home became " The Warehouse " until the contractors were done.  Our home dining room was an add on back in the 70's and had a door to the rest of the house....which enabled us to temporarily forget about the temporary storage situation !

The Warehouse served us more recently as we sold another place and needed a place to store things which needed attention: toss / donate / give to friends and relatives who wanted certain items.

Living with clutter, even if necessary for a while, is very frustrating on many levels.  Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel helps.

Re: What Have You Cluttered Today?

I moved last week back to my home state to be closer to family.  I'm now in a one bedroom apartment versus a 2 bedroom.

So my movers did not make it to my storage unit and put everything in my apartment kitchen.  I've been taking the boxes (what I can carry) to my storage unit.  BUT, I still have a twin mattress in my kitchen.Woman Sad  I'm "patiently" waiting for my nephew to come take it.  Ugh.

I trying to get myself organized here, but it's been stressful.  I miss my old apartment so muchWoman Sad

Re: What Have You Cluttered Today?

I am a declutter person.  See our interesting thread Declutter 2024 - What have you purged today.  We start a new one every year.  Los of good suggestions there and purging stories.

But I am currently in the middle of the semi annual exchange of summer to winter clothes and since I have way too many clothes and in varying storage places to be moved and rearranged, I have clutter of clothes I am moving arround everywhere.

As I am now also rehabbing a broken right wrist (going to therapy this afternoon) I am unusually slow in my seasonal clothes exchange this year. The mess is very annoying.  I also use this to do a purge of clothes.

Re: What Have You Cluttered Today?

I cluttered a few days ago.  Today, I got the last of the clutter cleaned away.

We closed our summer place for the winter.  I had to bring all food home and find a place for it. And, I brought my Keurig home too.  Since they have water inside that could freeze and break the appliance, I bring it home to store in a warmer area after cleaning it.

I have one cluttered spare bedroom.  I need to tackle it soon.  Right now I just keep the door closed.  I have too much stuff stored in there and need to go through it.

The rest of our home is uncluttered.

Re: What Have You Cluttered Today?

When our Winnebago was hit we had 3 days notice to get it emptied so we packed everything we could in my Subaru and brought it home. OMGosh, we loaded it all into our workout room in the basement. Over the past 2 years we have worked thru it but there is still a lot we need to clear out. Got rid of 90% of it, then decided to buy another motorhome.....LOL!

Re: What Have You Cluttered Today?

@KathyM23  Don't worry, I've contributed to that thread a few times. De-cluttering is an on-going process. My office is not cluttered due to the new lamp & table. That area is neat as a pin. It's my desk that needs some help!

Every once in a while I am able to get rid of some yellow sticky notes. That's real head way for me!

Also, right now there is a Benjamin Bunny stuffed animal posing for an illustration I am working on (afterward, he'll go to my g-daughter for her birthday), and then there are some calendar photos of birds that I still have to look up...I could go on.

Re: What Have You Cluttered Today?

I have paperwork spread out all over the table and I am thinking of pulling out the bin of cold weather clothes before straightening out the paper mess 😜
