Okay, very pretty inside and out.

Am I the only one who noticed the shoddy workmanship on the base of the stairs?

@Lucky Charm  Looks to me like it's an older home and the slates have come up maybe from snow and cold weather. Yes they need to be redone.

@proudlyfromNJ  I was talking about the rounded base of the stairs (painted white) in the foyer (inside the house).

@Lucky Charm @I did glance there very quickly to make sure which you meant. I guess I looked too fast. LOL

@Lucky Charm  You're right. I just went back and looked at the stairs. Weird looking.

@Lucky Charm  I see what you mean. Pretty clearly, it's an older house and the repair to that bottom riser needs an upgrade. It looks like they simply painted over the section that needs to be either sanded down or replaced. There are also probably multiple layers of paint on those risers...

The stairway is beautiful--don't get me wrong!  I'm a stickler for things like that---I've been general contractor on several homes we've built.

@Lucky Charm  Once I enlarged the picture, I couldn't miss it! Agree though, it's a lovely stairway, overall... Very classic and with a pretty curve. I also love the arched doorway and doorframe...

Exterior is welcoming. Unfortunate placing of a downspout.

I like the interior but would probably make a few modifications. The 4 prints on the wall don't speak to me.

Overall I think it's 90% of the way to my personal taste. Pretty good for a decorator.

Overall 'perfect', imo.

Well..........nothing is ever absolutely 'perfect'.

'Still'..........almost perfect,  which is more than good enough for me.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Love this...as is. Imperfections do not bother me at all. It gives the home character.
