Designer Beth Webb takes on Jackson Hole!

In the entry, the beautiful stone, the vaulted ceiling and arches set the tone--

There's a restful simplicity to the house, surrounded as it is by breathtaking valley and mountain views.  Inside, the monumental forms, vintage pottery, wovens, distressed wood and that mellow stone,  repeat the earthiness of the house's elemental setting--

I do have my usual slight aversion to heavily black-trimmed windows everywhere.  A few, OK.  To me, UNLESS they are in an industrial, loft-like space, the heavy use of them is a bit harsh.  They were all the rage for a time, but I agree with those who feel they can already appear dated, rather than classic, in some applications...

All the arches and the rustic beams, the curving iron, bring that feeling of the West.  Striking hearth.

A three-sided enclosed terrace, love, esp. with beams and stone arches.  Imagine being all cozy there, during a rain storm!  Nix to all the black trim-- again, to me too aggressive, especially with all that magnificent nature beyond... Feel free to challenge my bias, though!

I have no objection however to the handsome black stone in the kitchen.  Looks interesting with the natural blond wood--

Dining room is minimal and almost spartan, except for the luxuriant vintage rug--

Vaulted ceiling and leafy view makes this bedroom so airy.

Trees, water, mountains...

The land around the fifty-plus, mile-long Jackson Hole valley is so awe-inspiring.  It's partly what makes classic films like "Shane" so soulful.  Always love the location shots like these from the film, that showcase those brooding Grand Tetons--

What a gorgeous, grandiose house! Of course with those picturesque vistas I would be spellbound! The enclosed patio is so breathtaking that I seriously doubt that I woul ever get any reading done while sitting out there. . . .

The scenery is glorious ---  and so is the very tastefully done house! Simple and elegant with personality and a comfortable welcoming feel. I like that it is not overwhelmed  with

"tchotskes" and competing elements and that it seems like a relaxed background to fill with relaxed people who will be the focus of the setting and bring life to it.

Beautiful house and views.  Most furniture is not my style.

Amazing views!!! I do like alot here--am a fan of modern rustic but there is alot of it. Like the black touches but no so much in the kitchen.

While not for me, the location and vistas are impressive, the structure itself has a certain appeal, but the decor, with just a few exceptions, is pretty unappealing overall. I'll take a pass on this one.

Love the house, but I have no desire to live out in the wilderness like that.

I'd replace the art behind the lamp.

The rest of the property is acceptable.
