Re: WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR HOME STYLED?

Nah. We've gone to a Colorless World that I don't care for.

I'm finding joy again in styles like Grandma's Kitchen where I make my own curtains. Colorful Fiestaware trays that hold candles and retro pieces like my Fenton glass spooner.

I've never set foot in Home Goods or Hobby Lobby. I don't want 1 of the 10,000 mass produced MIC anythings. No matter how it's "styled".

Sure , a fresh pair of eyes can't hurt just as long as the home designer/stylist understands my  sense of style and comfort.

Yes, I would like that. When I was younger I would change furniture placement but can only do small items now. A different arrangement would be nice.

Our style is eclectic. But I have fun with it!

I suppose if we were to sell our home I would think about it.

Absolutely not!  I think most of today's designer's don't align with my basic design preferences and style.

Re: WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR HOME STYLED?

I've enjoyed decorating our homes.  Not too long ago we bought a new home and it's a dreadful open floorpan.

I know some like an open floorpan, but we do not.  Not any privacy and can be noisy if company over.

When we bought our home we wanted a new one, and they are all built open.  The kitchen, living room and dining is one large space.

Builders do that because homes are less expensive to build.  Yes, could have had one built, but bought one in a master planned development.

So, with that said, I should have hired an interior designer as it's harder to decorate.  I can still look into that, but haven't decided.

My husband and I love to decorate, and we really enjoy it. I would not necessarily want someone to come in and change it all around, but a few tips I wouldn't mind. Sometimes fresh eyes are good!

Re: WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR HOME STYLED?

YES!!!! I moved this past Jan to a bigger apt--had so much to unpack and organize---things were in stacks of boxes and on wheeled racks with no place to go--was over whelmed and questioning the universe!!!! I researched home organizers and was ready to call. Would have been a few days maybe of help at $100 a day--but then something kicked in my weary brain and the help of my wonderful SIL and I was able to get it done-ish. Still a few things to do----but will keep me off the streets--as my dumb little brother always says.😵‍💫

Homegoods often carries interesting artisan made pieces that are not mass produced.  You have to weed through a lot of stuff, but they're there.

For many reasons I would not set foot in Hobby Lobby, and your MIC, mass produced junk evaluation is one of them.

Re: WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR HOME STYLED?

No.  I have my things I treasure and if I decided to move them I can.  But they have their place and I rarely want to change.  It's a lifetime of things I love.

I don't do decor.  I stopped that a few decades ago.  I stick with my things.
