I change out the decorative pillows.  I like mercury glass so I bring out a piece or two for a nice effect.

Very beautiful.  I love her shapes and textures.

I need a deeper palette, and tend to go with pine cones, berries, and antique silver.

Tertiary colors take me to mid summer when I love the icy white and silver of the mountain winter with sweaters, leather, and scarves too.

It's a beautiful look but not right for my home.

I have holiday pillows along with red plaid pillows as a base in the family room.  I remove the holiday ones and leave the plaid pillows along with the red throw on my taupe sofa.

In the living room I leave my snowflake & sparkle pillows on the sofa & chairs.  I also leave snowmen decor up through the winter (or when I get sick of them).

The kitchen only has a ceramic snowman and I have been adding pieces of White Woodland Temp-tations accent pieces this past year and they have a nice snowy look to them.

@Oznell I think this is very pretty. thank you for sharing the photos. They give me food for thought. I have a variety of "tree" shaped candles (Candle Impressions bought years ago) in pale green & white. I leave them out on the mantel with some faux ivy, keep the white poinsettia picks and the house says winter, not Christmas - at least to me.

I also like silver and also have a large Lenox bowl in the creamy white that was a gift when I left my first job. I fill that with pinecones and some greenery.

You may be interested to know Blenko is part of the Guild.  Their water bottles are world famous and still made in wooden forms over a hundred years old.

@Oznell, yes, that's my Blenko penguin. He's really beautiful and very heavy. I have a number of the Blenko water bottles but the penguin is my favorite piece. I was a little girl when my parents and I visited the Blenko factory on a vacation trip in the mid-50s. Mother bought a beautiful large lidded vase that I ended up selling to my nephew who had been salivating over it for a decade! Blenko is a wonderful company - I'm so pleased that you searched out my penguin!

I really appreciate each and every poster taking time to contribute how they like to decorate this season--  so much fun to read.

@Puzzle Piece ,  mercury glass-- perfect sparkling look for winter...

@haddon9 ,  you're right--  Temp-tations Woodland white would look great for this season!   I only have 2 mugs in it, but love the look of them.  Don't you feel that the Woodland pattern is really high quality?  Substantial and well-designed.

@GinaV24 ,  tree shaped candles, and large Lenox bowl (in that distinctive, Lenox creamy color) with pinecones, another stylish look that can go all winter...

@ECBG ,  thank you for posting all that jewel-like eye candy!  Blenko glass, love the shapes and colors...

@jannabelle1 ,  lucky you--  @ECBG  and I would love to pore over your fabulous water bottle collection!

@Oznell

Thank you, but I don't collect Blenko; it is beautiful, though.

Although I think the colors and decor are very pretty, it does evoke thoughts of Spring/Summer to me.

I am more of a Neutral person, and we decorate in mostly neutral tones, and add color here and there..

I have Chocolate Brown Leather furniture, and my Living Room is mostly browns, tan and cream and touches of Blue to liven it up a bit....My walls are white, but not stark white, and I have tall ceilings, so it doesn't look too dark.

I have never been a pastel person, even with clothing. I like it on others, and in certain rooms when done tastefully like the above photos, but it is just not my taste..

I do love the photos in the OP but I also think you need a light/white background to pull it off as a winter theme.
