There is alot of really big furniture in that house---- I do like the kitchen but I need a bigger one with more counter space. My kitchein a recent apt was 8' x 7'ft. Had all normal sized appliances except for a small refer and really small 1 bowl sink and almost no countertop space. I would cook dinner and the place looked like a tornado hit it!!! But I could live in a small house like that.

Oh, boy, @just bee , do I ever agree that in small houses clutter is a constant battle. One newspaper strewn around, and random shoes in odd places, can be a killer!
It helps if the house has ample storage and closets, but still....
@Mz Imac, yes indeed, you're expected to sit in it! Slipper chairs to me, are very comfortable, and she even commented in the video how comfortable hers are. They look like they're down-filled. And chosen I'm sure for their lower profile to balance some of the bigger pieces.
As far as the perception in the thread of pieces too big for the space, I'd only agree that the chest/ credenza under the TV is a little over large. I think she used it in a desperate attempt to get more storage in the house.
In general, designers prefer overscale, rather than underscale, in small rooms, which seems counter-intuitive. They often think, and I mostly agree, that it gives more importance to the space, and avoids the opposite problem of "too-ditsy" and busy and fussy.
I agree, with the important caveat that you can still move freely around. But everyone has their own personal sense of what they need in that department.
One example of overscale that I liked, was her use of her bold, chinoiserie ginger jars that she converted to lamps in her bedroom. Very designer look, without taking up *too* much real estate....
Love your discerning comments on the merits of the kitchen, @amyb -- spot on. Hey, I didn't know that you worked in that capacity in boutiques in the past, what fun and scope for creativity!

I do like the kitchen, but I absolutely LOVE the exterior - Soooo cute and sweet! ♥

I just watched a few small home tours on YouTube, including this home. The house looked even more appealing.
I wish I had splurged on a frame tv but I wasn’t interested in mounting the tv on the wall:/

One appeal of an older home is the general feeling one gets inside it even when it's empty. Some older homes feel sad and some feel gracious and welcoming. I'm very much a fact-based decision maker, but I can't deny that some houses have a special feeling irrespective of their decoration.

It's a sweet home. My overall impression is that the furniture seems a bit large for the small spaces. Maybe remove one of the slipper chairs.
She did such an interesting thing with her kitchen, but I just wish she had painted the tall cabinets flanking the stove side the same color as the base cabinets. I think it would make the room seem a little larger. The shelf and rail above the stove are very nice, but I wonder about the shelf over the stove getting grease splatters. She really did a great job of improving that kitchen.
One thing that bothers me is the front entry and the kitchen doors having those panes of glass and not much in the way of coverings for privacy. It would not take much for a burgler to punch open one pane of glass on either door and get access to the lock and the deadbolt. I just feel uncomfortable at this situation. Having the glass-paned door in the kitchen does add a lot of appeal in visually expanding the kitchen into the lovely back yard, but I would feel uncomfortably exposed in my robe or pajamas fixing breakfast.
She could install security doors over the existing doors, too, but that would compromise the "look" a bit.
I hope she has a good alarm system and such.
