The velvet pumpkins are starting to show up at my house already. I collect these and just love them.

I love them too.  However, when I saw some of the prices for the decorated ones, I decided to make my own.  They are so easy to make and I purchased some stick-on jewels for next to nothing at Michaels and I glammed mine up. 

I even made extra and gave some as gifts.  Everyone loved them.

@hellodali  This is such a great idea. So far, I have only collected the plain ones but the embellished ones would be lovely!

The one with the design on I made out of material I had made some throw pillows from.  It looked cute having a matching pumpkin on my coffee table near the pillows.

I also used doilies from the dollar store on the tops to cover the base of the pumpkin stems.

Regal, I like the stems and rich colors of those pumpkins.  Where do you get them?

You can buy dried pumpkin stems on ebay. @flickerbulb @GCR18

I got mine on eBay three years ago.  They stil have them; however, I see the price has gone up a bit, but still a lot less than buying a velvet pumpkin.

Type in dried pumpkin stems and you should get a bunch of sellers.

@GCR18 I have found some at TJ Maxx, Big Lots and Marshalls and Home Goods. And, I have some from Plush Pumpkins....they are beautiful but pricey.
