The presentation of VPH with DV seemed almost odd to me. She seemed rushed and a bit nervous. And as she would speak about an item, he would look at the floor and then suddenly start stating how many were left, etc. Quite a juxtaposition as SK would say!

Something just seemed off to me. I'd never watched them together before so don't have anything to compare the match with, they just didn't seem to work very well with each other.

The Valerie & David pairing was hard to watch, in my opinion.  Valerie gives ideas on decoration and use of her items.  Then David blurts out the exact same thing as if he was giving new & brilliant ideas.  It seemed he was not listening to her at all.  Plus, he doesn't go with the flow and move around Valerie's typically dense sets well at all.  He seemed so frustrated & ill at ease with the items being in different places and order than he thought.  Yet Valerie was her usual calm self about it all.

I understand the hosts must have been told to stress "buy multiples!!," but to hear it for every item, as David was doing, is so aggravating.  I know if I want to buy just one or multiples on my own.

Towards the end, he really seemed done with it all, counting down the minutes hard.  Valerie would talk about her item; David would blurt out "there are 9 more minutes to the show!"

Everyone has an opinion. I thought it was a great show. Alot seem to like Rick St. Nick. That is a pass for me. To each their own.

I keep it on as background noise. So, I watched a little here and there. I think it’s David in general. He is very distracted lately. Maybe the milestone birthday he has coming. Who knows.

He is a different person since he has lost weight. Maybe because we see more of who he is creeping through. When he was eating and tasting more we didn’t get to see the real David slip through.

As much as I like watching David, I agree this was not an enjoyable show.

While Valerie was describing things, David would say every few minutes how many were bought, how many left,  at the very first talking about the previous show with Monifa which was weird but maybe he was told to explain why Valerie left early (to get sleep). But to make such a focus on it was awkward.

He did look down a lot while Valerie was talking and it looked like he was looking at the floor but maybe looking at the table or his cards or something? Then when she finished he would look up and say how many left! It just was strange.

It did seem like he was doing his job but waiting for the show to be over.

I think Valerie is so patient with every host as with Jen who kept talking over her when she was just starting to describe things, Valerie eventually just stood with hands folded and waited for her to finish.

Some hosts are just not very good with each presentation and just do their own thing no matter who they are with.

You can tell when Valerie is enjoying the show too or just trying her best to be gracious about it all.

And I think she is always very good with newer hosts, encouraging what they say and trying to put them at ease.

I clicked in and out and thought it was just fine.

I've stopped watching David quite a while ago. He always seems fixated in spoutinng off how many of what color are left.  I can't remember when I last watched him...even his kitchen shows.

My first thought when I tuned in was that David looked exhausted.

He did seem uneasy walking around the very crowded displays, which other hosts seem to maneuver with greater ease.

David did interrupt Valerie quite a bit.

No judgement...I do think it was obvious he buys and loves her items. As others have said she was very gracious (as always), but it was an off night for David.

I like David Venable, but some hosts mesh with vendors better, and this was not a good pairing to me.

David seemed bored, and not into the show from what I saw, I did not see the whole show.

I just think David does better with kitchen shows, electronics and cleaning more so.

He used to have his own decor show that he did real well with, I remember. Maybe he is just tired!!!! lol....
