The colonial style is right up my alley, but some of the Federal style decor doesn't appeal to me.

The colors seem lackluster, even with Christmas decorations present.

Christmas should inspire cheerfulness and celebration, yet the ambiance of this house remains rather somber.

I recognize the drum table as one that was similar to one in the home I grew up in.  (Love the dog).

Funny, how I like the way this home is "put together"    It feels cozy and homey to me to look at and I would like to see it without the Christmas decor.   But it would not be my style to live in.

I prefer old victorian homes and this looks too Federal to me.

The House just doesn't appeal to me whatsoever and not even the Christmas decorations help....most of which get lost within the overdone decor and knicknacks.

Why is it that interior designers tend to overdecorate? To me the cluttered look is not appealing.

Love that corner table with the lamp and wedgewood! And I generaly do like the look but it is just too much for me to appreciate. My cats would have a blast in there!

I really don't care for the bedroom wallpaper treatment, that would have to go-I dislike the way they did the corner.

This home is warm and appealing.  I love the decor, beautiful pieces displayed, art work always enhances, lovely furnishings.  This type of home lures me in!!!!!

As I write this I am watching Christmas in Connected , love that house too!!!!!  Floral print furnishings, lots of space, wow!!!!!

@Oznell Love this collection of photos.  Like the rest, the dog is a favorite!  The home I grew up in (now ~250 years old) had seven fireplaces (this was how the house was heated) and a gorgeous large scrolled radiator in the front entrance hallway with a marble top so I have a love of the older homes.

love everything about this place except wall paper on the ceiling!

Thanks for posting.  I always enjoy these posts.

I don't care for it.  Too dark and cluttered.  The only thing I liked was the dog (lol).

I like the warm homey vibe of this house. It's a bit cluttered for me, but some of that is holiday decor, so maybe it's not as cluttered in other seasons? Love the architecture and windows in the first photo. I also like the floors, wood cabinets, and the dog is adorable.

Not a fan of all the blue and white pieces, but I know many people like and collect those. The printed fabrics on the furniture and pillows, and the bedroom wallpaper & window treatments aren't what I would choose, but I think they work fine with the style & furnishings of this home.

Happy Holidays!
