Interior designer Sarah, from "She Holds Dearly" online, partly characterizes her Christmas decorating as "Little Women"-influenced. It definitely has that cozy, 19th century feeling. Her farmhouse in winter:
Her staircase swag contains 3 or 4 different types of greens, laced with a deep blue ribbon. Love the knitted stockings--
Sarah's video camera moves so quickly, I could only capture stills on the fly-- there are not many "long shots". That's why these images are more like vignettes, than like whole rooms.
Her living room does give me a "Little Women" feeling, complete with old piano!
She hand-wrapped all the lights on her glowing tree, from trunk to tip.
I like her deep red pillows, against the slate-y blue of the sofa--
Spotted at least 2 sweet nativity scenes throughout--
Christmas is a great time to bring out red transferware!
The window seat is inviting, with its white quilt and pillows-
Old-fashioned paper snowflakes, and vintage ice skates--
A blue ribbon captures their Christmas cards on the piano, while a noble pup stands guard-
The master bedroom. She made most of the pillows--
This bed is so beautifully layered--
Those are just picks she wove through the chandelier, then tying ribbon--
The little bedroom fireplace is bedecked. She painstakingly made the lush holly garland from bushes on their property--
A few toys on a wicker trunk--
Love her vintage suitcase, antique textiles and rocker--
An alert bedroom companion, what a plush sweetie--
The bathroom gets a glittery tree in an ice bucket--
A little, charm-filled corner of the guest room--
A few sprigs of holly in an old enamel cup, a wee wooden truck, old straw hat. Sarah's vignettes evoke an earlier time....

I love this. She did a beautiful job. Those tiny nativity scenes are really special.

The first picture looks like it could be a Christmas card.

It's a bit too rustic for me but I would like to stay there for a Winter Vacation.
I do like the window seat and bedroom.

I pretty much like everything @Oznell!
Except, I don't like the iron bed.
The wallpaper is interesting. I think I'd have to see it in the room to see if it didn't make me want to get out, you know getting too closed in or something.
That paper snowflake its beautiful. I'd like to sit by her and watch her do it.
And every house is better with a sweet dog and fluffy cat!
As always, thanks so much for the fun photos![]()

It looks lovely, but it's just too much "stuff" for me.

Love everything about that farmhouse! Such simplicity and charm, a peek into days gone by. . . She did a wonderful job.
For all of our married life we had a country cabin, it was called "the Farm"- DH and his 2 best buddies rented it, taken over from an uncle, it was the hunting cabin. We did not own it, we rented it-had no central water (it was a hand-pump) nor central heat, it was a big potbellied wood stove in the kitchen. They loved it there...it was in the middle of the farm so we were surrounded by cows pastures. . . and cows! LOL!!
As with most things, the farrm passed to their children who sold it out for lumbering . . . the end of an era.

The house nor the contents appeal to me. I do love the two nativity scenes and the kitty though.

Way too busy - I'm having a vertigo attack.

I like the iron bed. I think it's the combo of black bed, white sheets, and red pillows that I enjoy.
Sarah has lots of lovely items in her home. The outside is beautiful.
