The stonework is exceptional.

It doesn't appear the sun in out, perhaps that is why the room seems so dark? Surprising as there are obviously quite a few windows.

I don't care for decor or the curtains. Shiplap lovers would love this. 

But, that roaring fire on a cool fall day is inviting and enticing!

I like it, very pretty but I would get rid of the drapes, and the stools, or at least move them from in front of  the fireplace...But it is definitely a nice room and love the huge fireplace!

That's great. I have to say that with a nice blanket, a book and the cat, I could spend the entire winter curled up right there.

Unique and beautiful fireplace.  Creative stonework.

The rest of the room is just so-so.  I would have to think about it and change the rest of the room as the only thing that appeals to me is the fireplace.

I agree with all who would like to see the drapes and stools removed.

The 2 matching floral arrangements on the mantle do not bother me...I usually hate matchy matchy but it's ok here.

Oooooooh, it looks so cozy.  I would remove the stools from in front of the fireplace, tho.

Either the mantel or the fanned brickwork under it has to go. It's just TOO MUCH. Nothing wrong with the drapes, but I couldn't really see the print-would like to see them closed.

I clicked on this because I wanted to know what "upscale semi-rustic" looks like. What is upscale about the room? The humongous fireplace and the huge flower things on the mantel ruin the look.
