I like it very much!  Has more of a farmhouse look to me.

If it were my kitchen I would have changed out the light fixture over the table, had chairs rather than stools and used a sage green instead of the blue.

ETA:  The accent color looks blue to me.....and I'm not sure if the table is a table or another counter but I prefer a table & chairs for a kitchen.

Love it , but would get lighter bar stools and change the light fixture-do not like that at all.

Re: Updated Traditional Kitchen

This kitchen doesn't do a whole lot for me and I don't care for the layout.  I'd get rid of the tiny island by the sink (they're basically worthless anyway, IMHO) and move the bigger island with the seating closer to the actual work area.  However there is that short wall that may prevent that.

Re: Updated Traditional Kitchen

I do prefer the other kitchen.  This one has one of my bugaboos--  when cabinets don't go all the way to the ceiling, and particularly, in this rather elaborate, "stepped" design, I find it visually distracting and they are also major dust catchers.

I don't care for the oversized pendant light.   I do like the blue accents, and the beams--  if this kitchen were just simplified architecturally, it could be so much more welcoming, I think.

I like the cabinets, double oven and ref.  The eating area and light.....no.  I would replace the eating island with a regular table/chairs.  Also, doesn't look like much work counter space.

Re: Updated Traditional Kitchen

I like this update, but would have chosen a lighter table; though I like how it complements the flooring.😊

I think it's fine, but I don't care for the light fixture and stools. I'd prefer lighter color chair back stools, or a regular table and chairs instead of the island.

Sorry, but this looks like my sister in law's kitchen redo from 10 years ago. It was nice then, but hardly "updated".

Ha!  I know what you mean.  We completely remodeled our kitchen I'm guessing about 6 yrs. ago and compared to today's styles it's already outdated. From what I'm seeing the styles change constantly and I don't think most of us could financially ever keep up with the latest.  I'm to the place where any updates will be painting and fixing and that's it!
