This looks very nice & I like the colors. The sofas & 2 chairs are placed well for conversations, but the loveseat alone against the wall, under the red painting puzzles me; maybe a chest would've been my choice there.

@Desert Lily I like the loveseat placement. It makes kind of a nook if someone wants to sit away from the "crowd". I'd love it.

Hi @Love my grandkids  I thought about the loveseat being a place to read, but it's set too close to the conversation(s) going on in the room. It gives me an atmosphere of the person sitting there is being shunned or is shunning others, uninviting. Just my take on the placement of the loveseat.

@Desert Lily That's why I like the posts with decor photos. It's interesting how we all have a different take on the same room! thanks for your input   Being me, I would like a little corner where I could go and just sit and not have to interact if I didn't feel like it!

Although, I have never particularly loved "Craftsman", this is one of the best I have seen.

I really don't see anything in this room that says "craftsman" except maybe the beamed ceiling, which could include almost any period in history.  Certainly neither the furniture, fireplace, carpet or wall paneling is not  craftsman.  It's all very blah and generic.  Craftsman is one of my favorite periods, and this is disappointing.

Very nice but as ihave stated many times, I like privacy and would have window treatments .
