Update on getting my kitchen floor replaced

They are finally here today painting the walls where the floor guys ripped down the paint with tape or they put their dirty shoes or hands on the walls. This is the final step to us hgetting our home back in order - two weeks and a whole lot of unnecessary labor.

The guys here to do the painting seem very nice but - again- no English so -since our multilingual neighbor went to Illinois for Thanksgiving - I had to just go around pointing to what needed painted and they just smile and nod. I want to try and work them over for a quart of free paint when they are done -the builders rep told them to do whatever to make us happy as he knows we are not very happy now.

So Barbls- I would think very carefully before getting a tile floor ripped up. I know someone down here who had her tile resurfaced using the same stuff they use to resurface a bathtub and tile enclosure - it looks very pretty and was a lot cheaper and easier. I will not ever do it again - i swear.
