I notice that the carpet in the 2nd and 3rd shots is the same.  Perhaps two different views from the same house?

I'd say the 3rd room is the least offensive, but that's not much of a compliment.  That ridiculous artwork on the wall would have to go and those cane chairs would, too.

Sitting areas should be warm and inviting, a cozy area to relax at, read and feel comfortable.  I do not get that impression from any of these sitting rooms. The art work, furnishings leave me cold.

Unimspired is right.  They all look like they had a leftover piece of furniture/decor item they wanted to get rid of from other rooms in the house and put them in the "sitting room" .

Love the turquoise horse on the mantel in the second room.

The only thing I like in room three is the art work on the wall.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I honestly don't see the point in using an interior decorator for any room/home, period. First, that individual has their own preferences which they will try to incorporate somehow into your space, which could be the total opposite of what you like. In addition, they might get a commission from using xyz products (if not their own), again pushing something on the buyer they might not want. They probably also think they are "experts" when in fact no one knows all styles, all designs. Plus I honestly would NEVER hand design control of MY space over to a stranger.

I think we each as individuals/families know what we like, and by just taking a little bit of time can design our own rooms EXACTLY 100% to our own loves and preferences! There's so much out there online nowadays to get input if needed too. That's just my opinion!

Another reason to not hire a decorator, and do it myself.
I don't care for how any of these rooms are decorated.
I don't like the furniture choices, prints, or color combinations.  
I don't care for the artwork in any of them either.
