@Lucky Charm I don't remember what they were called but the Q used to sell an item (maybe they still do) which you placed under the legs of a table, sofa, bed or whatever so when you wanted to move the item you could literally slide it on the floor.  I was always tempted when I saw it presented but never did order.

I bought those but you still have to lift the beast in order to get them under it, so as I am not moving it across the room, I just use my back.

I bought a new bed and frame this spring after I ripped up the carpet and cleaned the hardwood floor. Thank goodness I can easily clean under the bed now.

I did the same to the livingroom and hallway a couple of years ago. I love the hardwood floors.

Somebody could make a nice income renting this cat out. A different house every day. The cat would love it and you'd have a non-stop income!

@Luvsmyfam If you can, try laying on a moist heating pad, it really helps sometimes!

Bedrooms are the worst for dust. I keep a dust mop handy to the bedroom and run it under the bed every week.  I probably should do it every 3 or 4 days. We have laminated wood look floors. I'm beginning to think we should have kept the carpeting as the hard floors are rough on the knees and hard to get up from. Oh well, too late now!

Well, there's always the nice thick throw rugs that are available.  I like carpeting in bedrooms, but we all have our preferences.

@Tinkrbl44    I wish I had thought the floor through better. I have always had carpeting in my bedroom and, quite frankly, I liked it a lot better then this floor. I can barely get up from it. I am thinking about throw rugs now!

I'm allergic to dust and find the hardwood floor in my bedroom much easier to keep clean than the former carpeting. As mentioned by others, I have a small area rug on the side of the bed. My bare feet hit carpet when I get out of bed, but the rug can easily be removed for deep cleaning. (And when something rolls under the bed, I have carpet to kneel on to get under there ha ha.)

Teacher daughter is all moved into my parents house; bed and bookshelves were moved last weekend, giving me the ability to see the very dusty mess I expected.  I emptied the vacuum cup twice from just what was on the rug and floor.
