The Grand Canyon.

Many of the western National Parks

Pacific Northwest (We loved northern California and the wine country; would love to see Washington and Oregon and their coastal areas).

A repeat visit to New England in early fall.

Thank you to everybody for the ideas! I'll sort through the ideas to narrow my choices for this Spring.

I'm from the NW, and agree with the suggestions people gave for that area. I have New York on my list, but I want to go there during Christmas time.

My brother went to Australia to visit, got a work visa, and has been there for a few years. Despite the long 18 hours or so flight there, cancelled flight due to mechanical issues coming back- it truly was an awesome trip. I loved it and would go back in a few years if he is still living there.

Thanks!

The California coast is a must do! I also like the drive from Colorado west - happy travels!

I don't like to visit the same place twice, but, I have been to Alaska 3 times and am ready to go again. I don't think you can go wrong visiting any of our national parks.

Have fun planning your next vacation.

Places we've loved: Hanauma Bay, HI, Sedona AZ, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Boston and the Freedom Trail, Gettysburg, Dinosaur National Monument UT/CO border, Old Tuscon AZ and Sabino Canyon AZ.

I've gotten some great ideas for places we'd still like to visit by reading these posts. Smile

I'd have put St. Louis on the list too, but they need to revitalize the riverfront, which was nicer years ago. It's a beautiful city and has a lot of attractions, like the Arch (totally amazing, with a great museum) and the Botanical Garden and the zoo. If you are driving past, it's worth a day trip.

In the summer the northern areas of the lower peninsula of Michigan are gorgeous. Macinac Island, Traverse City, Petoskey and Charlevoix.

Beautiful lakes, lots to do, wineries to visit. Holland Michigan on the lower western coast of Michigan has a great tulip festival and Saugautuck is an interesting art orientent town.
