Re: UGH.....Left Tissue in Load of Dark Clothes

Yes, I have done it despite checking every pocket on every garment. I invariably miss one. It is a royal pain. Sorry you had it happen.

Re: UGH.....Left Tissue in Load of Dark Clothes

This happens to me a lot.  I do the laundry for my friend who is in a senior center.  She has tissues stuffed everywhere.

I always try to remember to check the pockets, but she has tissues in her sleeves sometimes too.

I am used to it now.  I just shake the wet tissue clothing outside the best I can and put them in the dryer.  It works out okay. I wipe out the washer with a microfiber cloth.

It's happened to me...more than once! IF the clothes can go in the dryer, that usually does a pretty good job of removing the bits. Otherwise, I hang them to dry, then throw them in the dryer the next day, for about 10 minutes on low.

@ciao_bella   Same here.  I shake out each garment and let whatever is released onto the floor (and vacuum that up).   Then I let the dryer do the rest,  checking the lint trap repeatedly.  It really works well.

@BunSnoop,

I hate it when that happens and yes I have done it too many times.

Everytime like you I tell myself well, I won't do that again. I'll remember.

And then there are still times.

What a mess!

I do get a lot out of the lint dryer and the dryer itself and I shake it out in the washer, then the dryer, and scoop out all the stuff from both and then I get the trusty lint roller out and do the clothes. And sometimes wash them again!

Yep. That's happened to me too. I tend to stick a Kleenex in my pocket due to my allergies. I really try to check all pockets before laundering, but it happens once in awhile. My husband leaves coins in his pockets sometimes. I will hear a clacking noise in the dryer if I miss those.

@BunSnoop   I have done that a few times. I try to remember to check pockets, but it has happenened when I forgot a tissue in the pocket of a robe or nightgown. Always a light colored wash.

   It is messy. It must be worse, when it happens with dark clothes.

Re: UGH.....Left Tissue in Load of Dark Clothes

I always check my pockets, but once when my friend was staying with me I threw some of her things in the wash. I did not check her pockets 😡 My bad, but it's a good thing I like her.
