What do you think of these tree trunk supports in the foreground?

At first I thought they were real tree trunks cut near their bases, but now that I look more closely I think they look too smooth. They’re might be logs cut from trees or maybe even some other construction material treated to look like wood.

I still think it’s a magnificent look. The room itself looks very nice. I like the dark red furniture and stone work. I would enjoy sitting there looking out at nature through those large windows.

They're (and the whole room is) beautiful.  I wouldn't care for this in my daily life but would love it for my second home (or a vacation rental) in the mountains, at the lake, etc.

Great look, @wilma .  Let's hope the termites don't mistake them for real treesWoman LOL.  I assume the treees must be made out of cement or some composite?

It would make a nice and very unique mountain cabin, love the fireplace and furniture...

The tree trunk look supports are very neat looking and the room is beautiful. I don't tend to appreciate rooms in private residences with such high ceilings, as they don't tend to exude warmth to me. This one might prove an exception. It's very appealing.

I agree it is a beautiful spacious room and looks comfortable and relaxing.  However, I would like some privacy and not be surrounded by all those huge windwos..
