Scary. Can you imagine if that branch gave way and that giant piece of wood trapped you in there? I’m sure it’s secured, but the possibility totally freaks me out. 😱

Absolutely not!

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, but Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.

Depends on who I'm trapped with...

@wilma   Nope, No Way...although it looks like there may be chains holding it on top.

Weird. I would be more worried about hitting my head on the sides getting out of bed.

Since it does not serve a function and in my opinion serves no esthetics...big no thank for me.

@wilma  I would not want to even take a nap in this monstrous trap.  I bought a tanning session years ago and got out after about 3 minutes in.  I felt like I was paralyzed but still aware of my surroundings and the hum from the bulbs did not help.  A friend of mine suggested the tan bed for my arthritis but I  did not  find it relaxing.

I see this for what it is; weird, but I think it’s quite safe.

Even without the wood crutch support, the frame stays up because it is attached to the ceiling by eyebolts and wire cables.
