Re: Traditional New Build...

Love the living room. To me, the living room and dining room don't look like they are from the same home??

Re: Traditional New Build...

it looks like the White House.  It's a little too grand for me.  I can't remember the last time I entertained a Head of State.

The inside is a little too formal for me. I love all of the big windows. I don't like the look of heavy drapes.

This design is all over my area, nothing screams unique or special to me. I guess they think the portrait makes them look "wealthy" but it just looks cheap to me.

Beautiful house.....but those paintings people hang of themselves with or without their children or a spouse are SO SO SO tacky and narcissistic. That mom & child painting is revolting.

@Linda0215 - your post made me giggle.  First thing I thought of when I looked at the pictures was the White House.

I can't remember the last time when I entertained a head of state either, but I have a heating and air guy come over tomorrow morning.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Looks very stately from the outside, but I couldn't live with those two rooms.

I don't care for this style too much! I do like two story homes, but this is just ok. Do not like the interior at all....Do like the French Doors in the 1st pic though!

I'm not a fan of the exterior. It looks very nice, it's just not my style. I'd prefer something that isn't all white and so formal looking. I like the interior spaces and all the windows, but I don't care for furnishings. Way too formal & elegant for me.

Re: Traditional New Build...

The exterior is beautiful and stately even if isn't a style that I gravitate towards.  The interior has some beautiful architectural elements but these two rooms (and I'm assumming most of the rest of the house) would require a total overhaul in terms of furniture and decor.
