A little too Spanish/Mediterranean - y for me....the chandelier in the kitchen is ridiculous.

Hey @MickD, I had the exact same reaction.  I was doing ok until I saw that chandelier in the kitchen and that grouping of them in the dining room.  Yikes, somebody got a nice volume discount.

Re: Tour: Gerard Butler's NY Loft

I would have problems with the ceilings....too heavy for me. But, this is a man's space and I think the designer did a fabulous job with such a huge space. It is elegant, cozy and appealing.

I really like the kitchen.

Nice job.

Re: Tour: Gerard Butler's NY Loft

It has the feel of a stage set to me, with an uneasy melange of elements.  Seems like an over-reach, and in some of the first photos. claustrophobic.

I'd love to know what he said to his decorator about decor preferences, and if his designer followed those rather strictly, or branched out?

For some reason, I hear Phantom of the Opera when I look at this.

Masculine..I think it fits him. If I move in with him I will have to add some feminine warm touches.

Not my taste/style but definitely very different and unique...

I really like it. If I were spending that kind of money, however, that style wouldn’t be my first choice.

It looks like an antique store.  No character, no sense that people actually live there.

I've always admired loft style, with open ceiling beams and exposed pipes.  It make leaks so much easier to find!  Woman LOL

I like the open feeling and love some of those leather chairs.  I could live there.
