Tile backsplash install

We currently have granite countertops and a 4" granite standard backsplash. We did not install the granite, it was here when we purchased this house, and it's not something I probably would have chosen (I chose a granite backsplash for our old home that I loved) but we are stuck with it for now. I would like to add a tile backsplash, I think it would make me like the granite more and add some decorative interest to the kitchen. I think it would look nice. It's a project I've been wanting to do for a while.

There is a tile backsplash behind the stove only, and I dislike it so we will remove that and put in a full tile backsplash in the whole kitchen. So I am considering a neutral color scheme to complement the granite.

Do you have a tile backsplash? Ceramic? Porcelain? Marble? I am looking for some ideas so if you have something you love, please share! TIA.
