Tide HE question

Last week found Tide on sale and I had three $2 off coupons that were about to expire, so I stocked up. Three jumbo boxes. Today I realized all three boxes are HE. I don't have an HE machine. I have been using out of one box this week. My clothes are getting nice and clean, but my question is, is HE ok to use in my regular machine ? Is it just low sudsing, or is there something else special about it ? I know you can't use regular detergent in HE machines, but what about HE detergent in regular machines ? TIA
