The Whole Library

[ Edited ]

A while back, I posted a picture of a 'reading nook' and many expressed the thought that there was a lack of comfy seating... I came across pictures of the entire room and thought I'd share them... The original picture is the first one. As you can see, the room is mostly blues and reds. While I don't love the room, I do like it and find many of the elements appealing.

Much nicer now that I see the entire room. It is comfy and pretty.

I too would change the drapes to cream.

Desk/chair

Recliner

Bookcase

Door & window

And it's much easier to move a chair away from the bookshelves to find just what you need than it would be to move a whole sofa or even a plumper, upholstered easy chair.

I'd love to see the table between the two couches.  Looks very interesting.  This is a liveable room.

I would change the whole color palette, but the room looks much better when you can see the whole thing.  It's a relief to know there really is some comfortable seating on which to read.  If I remember correctly in the other thread many complaints expressed the discomfort of the chairs that reside in front of the bookshelves.

I agree with all those who would change the window coverings. I would too.

I could take a nice nap in that room.
