I noticed the prints above the sofa because I hate them!  LOL.  But I LOVE that clock with the shelving.  I want it.  I am a fan of yellow too and if I had a gloomy little apartment with no light I would think about yellow accents.  I would go for a toned-down version of this room.  I think it has too many competing elements for my taste but I really like some of the ideas.
