Beautiful but there's no room for the food or the people. Plus, in a real life situation, I would never put so many open candles on my table.

Trying to fit food on a table with even just the basic dishware is just crazy for a big meal, unless you have a huge table.

I would rather have a nicely decorated table (like the picture above) and set up a buffet on the kitchen counter or on sideboards in the dining room. Trying to pass food while others are eating gets disturbing and tiring. I'd never go back to the old way, and love the look and comfort of the decorated table, with the food elsewhere.

I think there is plenty of room on the table pictured for people to sit, relax, enjoy, visit, and get more food when they want.

I don't think that particular candle setting is very pretty. And unless the candles say the exact same thing on the other side, then it would only be good for the people on 'this' side of the table. LOL.

I do like lots of candles though. Real candles!

Everyone has different traditions. Some like having all the food on the table and passing. Some prefer buffet style.

I like buffet style. I also find passing the food around to be intrusive to the ambiance of enjoying the meal. I have a good-sized island where all the food can be displayed in pretty serving pieces. People can fill their plates to their own preferences without juggling things around while the rest of the food goes cold.

Love it! I always do tablescapes for large meals and the food is on the kitchen island, buffet style. I realize everyone has different traditions and that is great and makes memories. Personally we have found passing food around the table to be intrusive and more prone to spills and messes.

We always do buffet style for TG and Christmas. We cook the food and then keep it warm in crockpots. Works great! You can keep eating for a long time and the food stays hot. LOL
