@Oznell Just wanted to thank you for your post about 'rub n buff' a while back. I've been working on some projects and it's just the right thing for the job/s. This is yet another of your 'shares' that has been helpful to me so thanks for taking the time to post such great info! =)

I love Rub n Buff. I've been using it for years, can't remember when I first discovered it.
Sometimes long periods go by when I don't use it for some project, but coincidentally to this post, I just used it a day ago.
I ordered some decorative wood decorations to hang above my larger screen TV in my bedroom. I loved the decorative plaques, but they came stained in a very drab brown color. I just recently came across a YouTuber who repainted something in black, and used gold accents to embellish the item, and I thought it looked so good.
So I repainted my item with a satin black paint, and used my antique gold rub n buff to highlight the scrolled accents on the pieces. It made all the difference in the world, and the black paint looks much more in keeping with the black TV screen.
Good old Rub n Buff.
It comes in so many interesting colors, silver and patina, copper, I think. I find I use the gold most of all.

A bunch of my college friends decided to take a ceramic class one summer (circa 1967-68). Rub n Buff was one of the magical things used on one of my pieces (a large round wall hanging) which was given to my fiance's father as a gift for his bar.
Family and friends thought it had such a unique finish, they asked how and where they could make something similar, too! Rub n Buff was the easy part of that finish.

What a pleasant surprise to get your thoughtful shout-out, @ThinkingOutLoud !
So glad you've been pleased with your projects. Reminds me, I have a small Art Deco metal occasional table waiting in the basement, that could definitely benefit from a little rub 'n buff to bring up its original glow.
Nice to hear of others' experiences too.
