I have been wanting a tea kette for the longest time but could not find the right one.  Kate Spade had a big sale with 30% off anything (of course, I purchased a purse) but I also found my tea pot.  It whistles when the water comes to a boil (on the stainless steel cover to the spout, it says "Whistle while you work."  It is a cream color with black polka dots.  My walls in my kitchen are cream so this looks great.  It's good to sign up for their emails because they have great sales and free shipping.  HeartCat Very Happy

LOL!  I thought it whistled the tune "Whistle while you work" and I wondered how on earth it did THAT!

That's really cute!  Smiley Happy

A couple of years ago, my super-cute tea kettle's handle fell apart (it was wood- couldn't fix it). I researched, & saw several I liked. Then I read reviews for SO many kettles.

My goodness, they certainly don't make them like they used to. Every single kettle I looked at had issues with rusting, leaking, etc. And it was immediate interior rust! I looked at kettles for a very long time, until deciding on the stainless All-Clad. It's a pricey guy, but I bought it at Bed Bath & Beyond with a 20% off coupon. It's extremely well-made, & heats quickly. I really like it.

It isn't cute like yours is, but this is a lifetime kettle. I get tired of having to replace everything!

@lolakimono,   Thank you for the pictures.  The tea pot in person is darker in color like a cream or off white shade.  I do love it!  They also had one with gold polka dots.

@spot555,   This kettle is very well made.  Has a nice weight to it and stainless steel and inside is some type of coated material.  I only use for boiling water.

I always go with a stainless steel tea kettle. Not nearly as cute as this one, but much more functional in the long run, as it looks and performs better over the long haul.

My Revere Ware original tea kettle that I bought back in the late 70's  lasted 30 years before the whistle broke and I got a new one. I don't recommend any Revere Ware made today, it is no longer made here and a fraction of the quality those old ones were. I ended up going with another brand (but can't remember what it is right now!).

The ones with a porcelain coating tend to crack, stain and peel over time.

I'm with you. I wanted a cute tea kettle, like the one I had to toss. But since I use a tea kettle every day, I decided to go functional. Mine does have a STRONG whistle, so I'll give it that!  Smiley Happy
