I have a lot of aquas, turquoise and teal in my house and I call it "Southwest".   It's about as far as you can get from a "coast" esthetically and geographically.

Oh boy, there is so much going on here.  A big thanks to you @Oznell for keeping me entertained and, often, enlightened!  I love looking at these many rooms and houses you share, even when I don't care for them!

I'm not a fan of many elements in that first room.  I do like the blue club chair and the overall feel of the room, but I detest the palm fronds, the smaller flowered rug, and the head (alligator??).

The second room almost hurts my eyes.  Me, a lover of red, finds those lamps completely out of place.  I'd be hard pressed to find anything in this room that I like.  haha

The third room is lovely and, while it doesn't really give a coastal feel, it does say New England to me and I could picture it in a lovely home in Cape Cod.

Of the 3 rooms, think #1 and #3 are the ones I like the best.  For the most part, I do not like animal print of any kind so the ottoman in the first pic would need to be changed but other than that I'm ok with it.  Of the two, #3 is probably the one I like best.

Do not like the pattern on the couch and chair in #2 - can hardly look at it as it makes my eyes hurt.  The lampshades are a total miss.

I like them all, minus the red lampshades.

The periwinkle draperies bother me more than the red lampshades.

Re: THREE ROOMS

[ Edited ]

Yes!  I agree those red lampshades are awful!  Your eyes go there and stop.

It's like someone with overwhelming lip plumper....all you see is huge lips!

I'm not a fan of bright colors, especially bright red in decor but it can look ok if the surroundings call for it. Here it's so out of place, along with the artwork.

Now, I'm going to have a little fun and show what I'd maybe do to make the room look better:

I'd maybe:

Replace lampshades with:

Replace the art with:

There pillows on chartreuse chairs  by fireplace(I really like the color of these chairs)

I'd change out all that loud chair and sofa fabric to a more natural colored (light sand, burlap, ivory) slipcovered couch or a light blue or chartreuse ticking fabric or a mix of both (natural color and ticking)

I like the last 2 rooms and the curved fireplace is gorgeous.....

Fun!

@Oznell I would have to say #2 not only because I like the decor but mostly because of all the amazing light! I would change out the lampshades and likely choose a blue ,green (to pick up the colors in the couch) or a dark yellow to bring out the same colors in the chairs and couch.

The furniture in the first room seems eclectic but I like it!

Fascinating!  I would not have thought that there would be dislike of palm fronds!  I'm not "coastal" or even primarily coastal ( despite liking blue and green, etc.), by the usual definition, but for some reason I love palm fronds!  But I love leaves of all descriptions...

Ha, ha, @GingerHead ,  very apt comparison to ostentatiously plump lip plumper, that commands ( the wrong kind) of attention!  I love all your choices for that 2nd room, and esp. the lampshades are so enhancing, in my view.  Thanks for posting images of your ideas!

Loving the very diverse opinions from posters on this one.

With or without the art above the fireplace, pic #1 says "wild island" to me and not "coastal." It's not a theme that I'd choose in my own home ... unless I lived on a wild island Lol.

I'd like the blue club chair & the dark wood coffee table and would put them in a room with a whole different theme.

I'm not sure what the decorator had in mind in #2. IMO there's not enough red in the art above that fireplace to justify the red lamp shades. I like more continuity.

The arches, the convex (rounded) fireplace, the throw, pale colors, & the brown pottery in 3a & 3b say "Southwest" to me, maybe Southwest with a modern influence.

Well... I feel there is definitely something to dislike in each of these rooms.  In fact, I'm hard-pressed to find anything about the furniture or decor that I like.
