I hated dealing with the sponge mop and pail to wash my galley kitchen and small bathroom floors. I happened to see a Swifter Wet Jet commercial the other morning ... so went down to the hardware store and bought one.

Fantastic.  The pad portion swivels and gets in around the fixtures in the bathroom and in the kitchen the pad gets under the fridge, stove, etc.  No dealing with a pail and rinsing a sponge mob.  Just remove the pad when you're done and throw it away, and hang up the Wet Jet!

So glad I saw that commercial!

I used to have one when they came out years ago.  Not sure whatever happened to it.  I use the dry pads to dust the hardwood floor.

@ALRATIBA  I’ve been using the Swiffer Wet Jet for years.I love it. Every time I try something else that I think might be better I always end up going back to my Wet Jet.I love how well it cleans & that you just toss the dirty pad.

   I also use the swiffer disposable dusters for my floors.I love those too!

@NicksmomESQ

I was also impressed about how well it cleans, and how little time it took to do two rooms.

The concept of it is good. But having to buy the cleaner and pads all the time is expensive. Last year I bought my mom the Joe Campanella mop. You just fill the thing up with water or whatever you want and it hooks onto the microfiber mop. Same concept as a swifter but nothing to keep buying. You can just wash the microfiber pads. She used it yesterday in the new house and it worked great. She can even use it dry to get the dog hair.

   I know it costs some money but if it does the job & saves me time I don’t mind. I’ve used the washable pad version & personally don’t care for the maintenance required.I like the idea of tossing the dirty pad.

I would imagine if I had a large area that needed to be mopped - the cost would become a factor.  But, I only have two small rooms to mop.

I have hardwood floors in my kitchen.  I love the convenience of the Swiffer, but periodically I'm down on my hands and knees for a through cleaning.

@NicksmomESQ I have had the Don Aslett for 15 years. Just toss the dirty pad in the washer and it is done.
