our office cleaner uses the wetjet method in a couple of rooms, but I figured out how to remove that top for the bottle and refill it with my own cleaner :-)

it's google-able if you want to try

save money

@phoenixbrdwrote:

I have hardwood floors in my kitchen.  I love the convenience of the Swiffer, but periodically I'm down on my hands and knees for a through cleaning.

I do the same thing.....i use Swifter a few times....then like you....do a cleaning with  Mr. Clean and reg spongemop then alternate again with the Swifter....it is the "quicker picker upper" as they advertise...but i need that extra cleaning in between to feel it is thoroughly clean too

 @panda1234  I understand what your saying I have that too.I never use it because I’d rather toss the pad in the trash than the washing machine.It’s just a matter of personal preference.

The concept of it is good. But having to buy the cleaner and pads all the time is expensive. Last year I bought my mom the Joe Campanella mop. You just fill the thing up with water or whatever you want and it hooks onto the microfiber mop. Same concept as a swifter but nothing to keep buying. You can just wash the microfiber pads. She used it yesterday in the new house and it worked great. She can even use it dry to get the dog hair.

   I know it costs some money but if it does the job & saves me time I don’t mind. I’ve used the washable pad version & personally don’t care for the maintenance required.I like the idea of tossing the dirty pad.

@NicksmomESQ I have had the Don Aslett for 15 years. Just toss the dirty pad in the washer and it is done.

I love all of the Swiffer products. They're convenient and do a great job, and I wouldn't be without them. Just like the Clorox toilet bowl wands with the disposable cleaning pads. I got rid of all of those nasty bowl brushes and replaced them with the Clorox system. I don't mind paying a little extra for the ease and convenience of these products, plus they do a great job of cleaning!

I have one of the original Swiffer Wet Jet that doesn’t use batteries. Imagine my surprise when I bought one for our lake house and I couldn’t get it to work. The reason was the new ones require batteries. The problem I had was that there was no information packaging. So, I looked it up online and found that it needed batteries and where to insert them. Lesson learned and the Swiffer works great.

@Mom2Dogs WOW.....God bless you. I feel bad that I don't but did it that way in my younger days.

@panda1234....I am only 62....good health.  I am guessing my day will come when the hand and knees cleaning will come to an end.

@panda1234...awwww, not my intention.  We all have our idea of how to do things...and sometimes I am an over achiever.
