I just bought a Swiffer with an extended handle. There must be a trick to putting on the pads, but I don't know what it is. Tried it today for the first time and the pad came off at least 6 times in 10 minutes. I don't want to have to return it, but gee there are no instructions and it seems impossible. Any help appreciated.

Are you certain you have the correct side facing down? I've never had a Swiffer pad come off until I tugged it off.

There are YouTube videos that show all the assembly instructions.  On the duster it shows 2 long skinny pockets with prongs that slide into them.  Look up the videos.

I've gone to youtube and the product web page and these   dusters are still very difficult to get on and stay on!

Just in case some of this involves the wet pads, I always turn mine over when the pad is finished with and get a few more square feet out of it.  Or I just go over what I've just done.

I really like the swifter dry mop pads, use them so much, but don't get the wet jet,had mine for 2 months, and it stopped working, could not fix it.

We have a Bona wet mop thing that works pretty well.  Better than dealing with a mop and bucket of water!

@goldensrbest    Did you check the batteries on the wet jet?  I've had mine for about ten years and it works like a charm.
