Ooh Ms Catlover - I LOVE this reversible one with the leopard on one side & the floral on the other - I'd SO buy this set for one of 2 spare rooms. I love it when I find a great reversible for a good price too.

The other one with the blocks is perfect too - many colors to pull out of this one to decorate with.

A mere 2 examples of quilts I'd for sure buy.

Ms. Cat - do you own the floral/leopard one? where did you find it? I'd love to have this one!!!

You might check to see if there is a quilt club in your town. You could pick your own pattern and colors. Our club makes quilts for all causes.

I love quilts also. I have three bedrooms and they all have quilts on them. Raised my family up with nice cotton sheets and quilts. I would not use anything else on my beds. They are cool in the summer and trap heat in the winter . I only get cotton ones. Pine Cone Hill has beautiful quilts but pricey. Also Pottery Barn has great quilts which you can find on sale at the Outlets. Happy quilt hunting!

Thanks a bunch for all suggestion. .. dh complained that more than a hundred dollars is too much but even the Mizrahi was over $150 i dont remember now. . Im gonna convince him that is a investment that we will have for some years as we did with other nice comforters. .. Tomorrow i will visit macys and for sure i will check the bedroom dept... I would love, love , love to own an Amish quilt but for a king size bed you are talking in the area of $1000 - out of my range. I tend to like to change out the bedcovers fairly often so I tend to buy them inexpensively at places like Walmart or Kohls - then I don't feel guilty for buying more.

Re: Suggestions for Quilts for master bedroom

We have a Garnet Hill quilt that is a beautiful cotton, looks like raw silk, is lightweight and well made. When they are on sale, they are reasonable for what one gets, IMO.

We needed a darker color that wouldn't show dirt all of the time. I think this king-size quilt could go in our washing home washer/dryer due to the fact that it is thin and airy. HTH

This is the one we have right now... and it is on sale, too.

Newgate Quilt and Sham

We have the grape. I am going to order the shams, too, before they are gone!

So many pretty pictures. If you ever visit Amish country, you'd seem some beautiful hand-stitched quilts.
