I have Southwest decor inside my home and would like suggestions for the decor that aren't cowboy. I like the southwest theme along with Native American but many sites don't offer much. Any suggestions?

@Puzzle Piece Maybe try some estate sales? We have lots of western themed decor, paintings, kitchen ware, linens etc here in the Denver area.
If you're not in a western state that may not be as easy to find.

@Puzzle Piece Where do you live and do you have access to Indian arts and crafts?
I'm lucky that my mother, now gone, spent a lifetime studying and collecting Indian artifacts, then I became interested and did my own collecting. I inherited all of her Indian collectibles since no one else was interested.
For years I've painted most of my house a beigey pink color with an accent wall of the mauve color the Sandia Mts. turn at sunset. I have dark walnut furniture and a number of turquoise painted pieces, with cork floors.
I have 5 or 6 Navajo rugs. I don't use them normally except for a white one I've hung on the wall. I display one on a kiva ladder. I have dogs and don't want the rugs ruined.
I have quite a few pieces of Indian pottery, mostly stored because I don't have room to display but a few at a time.
Since I'm a horse lover, I have some related art, statues and figurines, not cowboys, just horses.
I think my painting, which are Southwestern themed, add a lot to the vibe of the house. You can get inexpensive posters and frame them. I like some R.C. Gorman prints, also a poster of Cabazon Peak near Albuquerque. I have 3 nice original oil paintings, including this one of Shiprock.
You can add a Southwest feeling by using primitive accessories like baskets, hand-made pottery, candlestick holders, objects in desert colors. Avoid items that look "touristy" at all cost. Try to find some used Mexican rustic furniture pieces

Thanks Kachina
You are very blessed to have so many items to display and enjoy. I am apprehensive about relics and such though. I know some can be cursed or posessed. As an Apache living in CA we don't have much access to local items. They don't have to be pricey, just attractive and enjoyable.

@Kachina624 Love your suggestions, a lifetime and more of curating. The Shiprock painting is special....mystical quality as well as an accurate representation. Must be a comfort and a joy living in your well loved home.
