Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get some TSP....trisodium phosphate. It is basically a light acidic cleaner that will strip residue from things. Here is an article from Bob Villa on using it.

This should solve your problem until you replace the floor.

Thank you everyone! I got some ammonia at the store this morning and I'll see if that works.
The vinyl isn't peel and stick, it's one sheet. I don't know why the bathroom floors are sticky and the kitchen isn't. The vinyl in the bathrooms are the same however, and the kitchen is a different vinyl.
I'll take a look at the TSP and some sealer as well.
