Love it.  I have memories of a similar room.  Early marriage. Midcentury modern with lots of beige, turquoise and pops of orange with a beautiful piece of artwork over the totally modern sofa of a grand piano and violinist in oranges, beiges and framed in gold with a turquoise stripe around the gold frame and a creamy white rug.

Kind of cool, but I prefer ceilings done in flat paint.

I love this room....that essential rug and chairs  The screen behind the chairs, the plants, the ceiling....all good.  (My only minor change would be to remove some of the busyness on the table...would make a statement with fewer items, possibly leave just the two large blue glass items).  Yes, I'm happy with this as a foyer.

I like the teal with the black moulding.  It's not bad with the white walls.  But I think the ceiling color makes it seem lower.  It's a pleasant room.

I would not use a rug at all.

The ceiling, contrasting trim, wood floor, natural light - love it.

Love every bit of it!

My bedrooms have white ceilings but the other areas of my home have  painted ceilings.
