Creative, but it takes a lot of light out of the room when the ceiling is dark.

Re: Statement Ceiling

Not sure what the statement is. The ceiling color is pretty, although I think another stab at ceiling lights might net better results. Nice elements, overall, and the small seating area and rug are attractive.

In the 30's and 40's many two-story white frame homes had the ceilings of the large front porches painted light blue. It resembled the sky according to my grandparents (when I saw homes in the '50's and inquired about the painted ceilings).

I love it, but what part of the house is this in? Is it a large foyer?

Love it!  I am very partial to teal and aqua colors.  It is very soothing.

I would take a chance and paint my ceilings like this, but my DH would fight me.  He is my painter, so it will never happen.

I like it in that room since it appears to be a sitting room.

Boy that’s different. I would have a neck problem from my head looking up all the time.

I do really like this but I think the dark ceiling makes the room look smaller.

I love, love, love the color scheme and would be very happy living with it.
