What do you think of using stairs as storage?

The first one is great!  Very much my style.

The stairs on the second one look very steep & dangerous. Not really liking the storage design either.

Like it or not it's a clever idea.  I would love to have all that additional storage.

The first example seems a good bit more useful and easily accessed than the second, but sure, why not use this space for storage. More times that not, there some oddly shaped closet under stairs. Perhaps the shelves help to better maximize space.

Once I had a man door under the stairs and I used those shelves like a pantry.  But further back it was a free for all.  In my defense there was no light.  When I moved and cleaned it out, it was like Christmas.

Like the 1st one, but the 2nd picture reminds me of a huge Jenga tower,

love them!  very organized

i have a very large storage closet under my stairs in my mountain log house.  it's one big area and i have to take everything out to get to something in the back.

i plan to change it to a half bath at some point.

I love the storage units in the first picture.   That would be so handy to have available.

I do not care for either the steps or weird storage places in the second picture.   Those steps look so dangerous and just waiting for someone to fall down them.

You’re right. The second one is Jenga. LOL!  Thanks for the laugh & photo.

Good use of space. I like the first one.

Thumbs👍 for #1...Thumbs👎 for #2. It is visually unappealing to me, and overwhelming, although I would love having that much additional storage space.😊
