@151949  It might be (and I have a friend who lived there and I am in a cooler zone than she, but as a master gardener, I tried to help her with gardening since she was an attorney) that you can cut petunias back to near the ground when they get leggy and when weather cools, with watering and mild fertilizing, they might return.

Due to our weird weather this year, my flowering trees bloomed very early, and the blossoms are now being destroyed by all of the rain.  This morning, I watched one of my historical irises which just bloomed, being battered by the rain.  

 

Lots of plants have purple leaves to the unusual cold weather we had for a month, but they are still alive.

Today is a beautiful, sunny day here in Wisconsin, however it is only 22 degrees out, so still quite chilly. The weekend is supposed to warm up to 40's........
