SHOPR, That kitchen pic with the VPH lamp was taken last year. Since I put everything back exactly the same this year, I didn't bother to take a picture this year of that vignette...same with the pic with the 2 white terracotta birds in the LR...same set up in that corner of our livingroom. Along the top of the curio cabinet and wall unit, it's not 'exactly' the same, but very close. A few of the spheres are a bit different in the set up and colors.

Below is a pic showing the difference on a bookcase from last year and you can compare it to the pic above from this year. You will notice our Christmas Cactus plants bloomed late too!

SL, I can't get out of this quote box at the moment! I like the addition of the ivory lantern this year. It looks great there!

The ivory lantern is so pretty. So tell me, I have an antique birdcage, about 9 inches round and 20 inches high. What should I put in it for a nice spring look? I have one flameless candle in there, and frankly, it looks dull.

It's always fun to see pictures of peoples' homes and decor. You have a lot of nice things; I'm particularly fond of your big china cat; I have a somewhat similar one who peeks out from behind a chair leg in our kitchen eating area. I also like your crocheted runners; I have several similar runners or doilies under special collections or pieces. They kind of highlight things and add a little old-fashioned charm.

I have to say, though: I've never "gotten" peoples' enthusiasm for those colored orbs. I know a lot of people like them, but they just don't do it for me.......but to each her own!
