Some of you might remember my post about a little spider I had living in one corner of my window...a very small little guy with tiny webs. It was like having a little pet in my window sill. I could see him everyday spinning his web, catching little bugs like gnats and other small flying bugs. Well, sadly he is gone now...must have been taken by the cold weather.Smiley Sad

I will look for Miss Muffett's Revenge.  They are worse in the spring and fall.  They belong outside.  Until they pay the mortgage, or clean and vaccum they are unwelcome! lol

DH always is amazed how I can spot the little buggers.  He was asleep last night. He doesn't come running if I yell anymore.

Maybe that was a descendant of Charlotte, @SilleeMee.

I love watching the garden spiders during the early morning in Spring and Summer.

Big 'ol centipedes, yuck, gross, no.  In the vacuum quickly - along with any babies I may find.  Silverfish, gross.  (I live in a damp area).  Oh yes, and earwigs.  Gross.

I had a stretch when I was getting centipedes! YUK!!!

I started pouring bleach down my drains and toilets.  Then running hot water in sinks & tubs.  I don't know if it was coincidence or not, but no more centipedes.

Spiders are pretty much the only thing that creeps me out. Actually gives me goosebumps on my arms. I usually run for the vacuum cleaner wand because I can't stand getting close enough to them to pick them up with tissue. I read once that the reason we see them a lot more in the Fall is that it is the mating season for them and they come out from behind the walls.

Ugh!  I hate when they disappear before you can get to them.

I think of how beautiful a spider's web is, covered in morning dew or raindrops, sparkling when hit by the sun.  It really is one of God's miracles, the beauty and intricacy of such a thing.

Most spiders are harmless and actually beneficial in the house - they catch and eat other insects.
