CIJ done. Fall decor day, done. What do we talk about now?

Friday the 14th of August is another all day Christmas event. Looking forward to that, but expect there won't be much new.

Maybe after all we've done, we need a good thread on decluttering?!

@Mominohio, Good idea for some tips on decluttering. I am not really done with CIJ until UPS comes this afternoon, finally getting the set of five finials that I ordered on advanced order then. It seems so long ago that I had almost forgotten about them. I only ordered the lantern yesterday so think I've finally reached the point that I say enough. I did get the snowman bell and mine seems to be in good condition. Cardinal one coming today so will have to see how that one is. Hopefully, I won't have to trek to the post office again with defective items. Still waiting on replacements for some items.

What about a thread on storage tips for holiday decor? I can share one I just discovered on Sunday. My Christmas things are stored in a bedroom closet with my coats, and there is about half of the hanging space on the rod free.

I decided to put bulky things like a basket arrangement of flowers, in a plastic bag, and hang the bag over the hook of a hanger on the closet rod. It worked great, as the basket contents aren't squashed, and the floor space isn't taken up with something bulky. I did two or three others with a wreath, etc. Looks clean and orderly, and keeps things easy to find. Just a thought... pinky

@Mominohio Decluttering and purging would be good! I've been doing a wide variety of things today which included purging and organizing a few boxes for Goodwill for a drop off toward the end of the week when I'm finished putting out our Fall decor.

Between doing that, I have been watering the gardens and sitting on the patio taking pics of our newest hummingbird migrator, a few wrens and goldfinches in our garden too...always fun to watch. One of the wrens got itself a big black cricket for a scooby snack...yum!

Good idea! I cover my wreaths with a plastic garbage bag to keep them dust-free and hang them from nails in the storage area. I just have to remember to put a label on the outside so I can easily find the one I want.

did u hear what Jill said? Along with the christmas sleigh there is going to be a reindeer to match!!!!!!! Yipee. !!!

Oh, that's great! Now we can worry about missing the sleigh AND the reindeer. LOL
