In my opinion, the smaller the kitchen the more important it be very light in colors used for cabinets, decor, flooring and furniture. Makes it seem more open and bigger. 

 

These are both really nice.

I like # 1 best, but with a different floor, but could live with it, #2 is ok but a bit too "grandma" looking for me, and it would definitely need some upper cabinets! The floor is beautiful in #2.
