I’m wondering if the chlorine in our public water system is causing my hair color to turn brassy. It also tests fairly high for hard water. I’m looking to buy a new shower head with a filter, but there are so many out there. I want to see if anyone has one they love. Thanks!

@Natureluvr   I believe that chemicals in our water can definiteky ruin the color of our hair.  Where I live our water is plain disgusting abd very hard.   I notuved  it when I moved here as well as how my skin felt and immediately starting buying filters for my shower.  I use an Aquahome filter for my shower and it definitely makes a difference.   I replace it every 3 months.   I ourchased it on the big A.   Good luck

I have hard water and decided to buy an AquaBliss shower filter. The filter needs to be changed every six months. I noticed when I travelled how much cleaner and bouncier my hair felt with water that wasn't hard like mine.  I have natural hair so can't speak to brassyness.  I honestly have not seen a big difference.

Thanks for the recommendation!  There are two on Amazon - one is 29 dollars and one is around 40.  Which one do you have?  This sounds like just the ticket for us.  We have well water and if the water starts to turn the least bit hard , (we have a softener), my hair is the first thing I notice, not to mention the smell of the water.

Thanks!

We have a Sprite filter on all 3 of our shower heads.  You still can use your bathroom fixture, very easy to install.  We change them every six months.  Whether they're used a lot or not.  You don't want to over use them because then the water is going thru gunk probably.

We put in a shower head with a water filter about a month ago.  Within a week my dry feet were fine.  It was a miracle for us.

@Natureluvr Delta Clarify from Amazon.  It wasn't expensive.
