I've had an extra large washer drum for years now which is Kenmore.  Anything I put in that is smaller gets a towel.

 

I keep a bottle of clorox water in the shower for when the edges need light freshening.  Works like a charm!

When needed, I wash shower curtainer liners with clorox, dry them on high and hang them warm.  Perfect.
